Andrew and Stephanie Browning - Ethiopia

Stephanie and Andrew Browning were married on March 29th in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Stephanie is working in Addis Ababa, where she is teaching French at Bingham Academy, and English and study skills to church leaders and pastors who are training at the Evangelical Theological College (ETC) in Addis Ababa. This College trains church leaders and pastors from all over Ethiopia. English is the language of higher education, but most students are Ethiopian and English is their second, third or even fourth language. Andrew works with Dr. Catherine Hamlin at the Fistula Hospital in Addis Ababa.

Stephanie asks for prayer about her ministry for the next academic year beginning in September. Options to be considered are:

continue with French teaching at Bingham Academy. The school will begin A level classes next term for which Stephanie feels she would require extra French Language experience to teach effectively;
• change to another subject such as Scripture teaching
• teaching ESL at the Theological College (currently two nights per week)
• move to another area of ministry such as orphanage work

Andrew gives thanks for his recent visit to the West African country of Togo to train local doctors in Fistula surgery techniques. He asks for prayer for the development of the street children programme in Addis Ababa.
